If the third time is a charm then actress Angie Harmon must be feeling pretty lucky right now. According to recent online reports, she has just given birth to her third child. The baby girl, named Emery Hope was born on Thursday, December 17th.

Harmon is married to former New York Giants defensive back, Jason Sehorn. The two met after Harmon attended a Giants football game. He proposed to her while she was being interviewed by Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. Even her dad showed up to give the couple his blessing.

The couple’s first child, five-year old Finley Faith was born in Dallas Texas On October 14, 2003. Three-year old Avery Grace was born in Dallas on June 22, 2005.

Harmon is best known for her role on the long running TV show, Law & Order, in which she played A.D.A. Abbie Carmichael from 1998 to 2001. She has also appeared in the series Inconceivable and Women’s Murder Club. Fans may also remember her work in Agent Cody Banks which starred Frankie Muniz.

So tough guy Sehorn is outnumbered but I have a feeling the ladies in his life will go easy on him. Matt Damon also lives in a female dominated household. Perhaps he can give the former football pro some tips on reminding everyone who’s boss. That would be the ladies of course.

That’s a little extra love for the Sehorn/Harmon household for the holidays. No doubt they could not have asked for a better gift. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Forgive the tennis pun, but we are talking about a star of the sport here. Australian-born Lleyton Hewitt just became a dad for the second time. His wife Bec Cartwright gave birth to a baby boy on December 11. They named the newest addition to their family, Cruz. The couple’s first child, Mia is three years old.

A statement released by Hewitt on his Website said “All are doing well and are very excited about the new addition to the family.” There’s no word yet on whether Hewitt will sit out next year’s Australian Open in January because of the new birth. Given his well known competitive streak it’s unlikely. He has however been ruled out of competition for the rest of the year following hip surgery.

Bec Hewitt is an Australian actress, best known for her work on the soap opera, Home and Away. The couple got married in 2005 after dating for eight weeks. That might seem pretty short to some but so far things seem to be going well. Previously Hewitt was linked to fellow tennis pro, Belgian Kim Clijsters.

Like so many sports stars Hewitt has had his share of controversies, including a 2001 incident when he called an umpire at the French Open “spastic”. He was fined US$1000 even though he refuted the allegation. For the most part however, he is acknowledged as a fierce competitor who maintains a high level of fitness. The highlights of his career are the 2001 US Open and the 2002 Wimbledon titles.

We doubt this is game, set, and match for the Hewitts where family is concerned, but you never know. In the meantime congratulations to the new celebrity parents.
