If you have read any of my previous posts you probably know that I’m usually on the lookout for a decent babysitter. We don’t have any family in town and the one gal who does a great job with my kids has a very limited schedule, so any chance I have to peruse ads for potential babysitters I’m all over it.
Today I checked out SitterCity.com, which is an online service designed to connect babysitters with the parents who are looking for them. They also feature senior care, dog sitters, house sitters, and tutors.
You input what you’re looking for in a sitter and what geographic region you’re looking in, and then the results come up with people who fit your specifications. Some of them feature photos, work experience, and the rate of pay they expect. I personally sifted through three of the offerings: babysitters, house sitters, and pet sitters because with our vacation coming up we need all three.
There is a monthly fee to have full access to the service, but you can get a free 7-day trial by signing up with the site. I signed up for the free trial and was able to look through all the potential sitters. I was even able to post an ad for a babysitter, and I’m eager to see the responses I get.
