Kellogg Cereals Recalled
Kellogg Co. is recalling 28 million boxes of cereal sold only in the United States because of an “Unusual flavor and smell”, according to CNNMoney.com.
Kellogg reports that there is little health concern over the recall but an “uncharacteristic off-flavor and smell coming from the liner in the package” could possibly cause diarrhea or nausea.
Products Included in the Recall
- Corn Pops
- Honey Smacks
- Froot Loops
- Apple Jacks
How to Identify the Recalled Cereals
You can identify the recalled boxes purchased in the U.S by the marking “KN” near the sold by date. Cereal purchased in other countries are not included in this recall regardless if “KN” is on the box.
Kellogg Chief Executive David Mackay said they are “working diligently to ensure that the affected products are rapidly removed from the marketplace.”
