I quit work three days before my son was born and was back to work two weeks after my son was born. My labor lasted 2 hrs 45 min with no complactions. I know I'm not the norm for a frist time mom much less any woman. But I didn't have much choice, I like having electrciy and running water and preffered not to go on state support. I think if you can take off the time great, I just realize its not always possible.
