With my first baby, I found out while my husband was at work so I had time to create a clever plan to surprize him. I went to the store and bought a cake, then decorated it with pacifiers and it's a boy, it's a girl signs. I also bought some flowers and put the it's a boy it's a girl cards in the flowers, then I dropped them off at a familiar restaraunt that we ate at frequently. They were happy to be part of the surprize. So when he got home I suggested we eat out. The waitresses were so excited you could tell they were nervous. So about half way through our meal the waitress came and asked us if we wanted any dessert? I said ok, my husband looked at me, he was puzzled. Then the waitress said "pie?" and I said yes. She hurried away without clearing our half-eaten plates, then my husband, a little annoyed said "pie? we have ice cream at home!" Then they brought the pie and sat it down and then handed him the flowers. The whole staff came out to see the surprize. I started crying and after a second I blurted out "I am pregnant" Later he told me that he was so confused, he assumed that pie was some kind of special or perhaps it was left overs from another party or something because she didn't offer us a menu or any dessert options. Then he thought, "well I am not going to pay for a whole pie, I don't even want any pie." lol.

I recently found out I am pregnant and I was able to surprise my husband with the news! I wrapped the positive pregnancy test and a little onesie that says "My Daa Daa is #1!" in some tissue paper and gave that to him as my belated 10 year anniv gift. He opened it up and didn't see the test was positive and kind of thought I was giving him the onesie for a child we would one day conceive. He asked, "are you pregnant?" and I told him to look at the test. He was floored.

I had to break 2 major news to my husband - the first one was that we`re pregnant (did it by phone) and then then a few weeks later that we were having 2 - twins (again by phone). I wasn`t as imaginative as you are!

Funny post! :) My friend has devised a plan to tell her husband when they get pregnant for the first time. She bought a book called "The New Fan's Guide to the Red Sox" or something like that and she's going to put it on his chair. He's been a fan his whole life, so why would he need a book like that?

I'm going to show her your blog, though, so that she comes up with a back-up plan, just in case. It's not just your husband--men just aren't all that good when it comes to hints!
