I have lost two of my babies shortly after they were born. My daughter lived for 2 days my son for 45 minutes. Believe me when I say there is more training needed for OBs in this situation. I realize that it is perhaps traumatic for the OB but I have had experiences that have made the situation more difficult. Yes I understand how tough it could be on the doctor.... but perhaps training them in how to treat the family afterward would go a long ways toward helping them deal with their own stress.
