What do you do with your children’s outgrown clothes? I give them away or sell them on Ebay. What do the rich and famous do with theirs?
Rather than throwing things out, actress Nicole Richie decided to donate stuff that her 15-month old daughter Harlow Winter has outgrown to a charity auction at Handmedowns.com – Los Angeles. What a splendid idea! The auction started last week, 7th April, and runs till 17th April so you still have a chance to bid. I would love to, except that I have 2 boys who are almost 6 years old. Among the items being auctioned are designer baby clothes (romper, jacket sweaters, and dresses), shoes (ballerinas, mary janes, and moccasins) and a Maclaren Lacoste stroller autographed by Nicole herself. Now, that’s a collection that’s tempting for mommies with little girls.
The proceeds of the auction will go to the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation, a international charity organization set up by Nicole and her partner and Harlow’s daddy singer Joel Madden.
Nicole, by the way, is happily expecting their second child. She seems to be one of those women who have unusual pregnancy food cravings – goat cheese pizza, watermelon, and wasabi, according to Acesshowbiz.
