I think for us, it's the opposite. I'm gone 10 hours in a day (!!) so I only see him before I leave and before his bedtime. We're getting ready to get our son into daycare and it'll be daddy who's gonna be dropping and picking him up. I take care of his bedtime routine though so it's okay. Weekends now are very precious like you mentioned. We try to do family activities if we can. Now that he's older, we can bring him to parks and things.
