Does anyone know if bpa is in baby food containers, such as the Gerber baby foods? After my twins started solids, I noticed that the gerber plastic food containers had the #7 on the bottom. Does anyone know if this poses a risk to our babies?

Unfortunately, the plastic industry is a multimillionaire business industry, more than the tobacco industry. However, if consumers are informed and realize the dangers of this endocrine disrupter component, a change can be made. The FDA says that the amount of PBA leached into the drinks is small; but what they do not say is that PBA bioaccumulates in our bodies. This chronic poisoning will soon or later help the development of carcinogen cells that lead to cancer.
