Everyone must be aware by now that 2008 is turning out to be a bumper year for celebrity babies. The latest celebrities to give birth so far this year are Australian actress Cate Blanchett and American actress Jodie Sweetin.
Thirty-eight year old Blanchett gave birth to her third son on Sunday, April 13 in her native Australia. The baby weighed in at 7.94 pounds. The new addition joins big brothers, 6-year old Dashiell and 3-year old Roman. Blanchett is married to Andrew Upton. Mom and baby are doing great.
Blanchett is an Academy-Award and Golden Globe Award winning actress. Some of her most popular roles were in The Lord of The Rings trilogy and Elizabeth.
The other celebrity birth over the weekend was a daughter born to actress Jodie Sweetin and her husband, set designer Cody Herpin. Sweetin’s little lady has been named, Zoie and weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
The twenty-six year old, first-time mom is best known for her Full House role as Stephanie Tanner. She married Herpin last year.
