A Baby with 2 Faces Born in India

In a small village in northern India, a baby girl was born on the 10th of March 2008. What is so unusual about this girl is that she has two faces. Otherwise, both child and mom are doing fine, according to medical staff at the hospital where she was delivered. The villagers thronged to see the baby, whom they believe to be the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess. The parents, however, are mainly concerned about the medical bills they`d run up to fix their baby`s deformity.
A similar case, a girl with 8 limbs, was born over 2 years ago also in India. She was operated on last year, an intervention that took more than 30 surgeons 40 hours to finish. The deformity was due to a parasitic conjoined twin. The baby, too, was considered a goddess`reincarnation until she developed severe health problems. The operation was free of cost, thanks to the generosity of the doctors.
