This review couldn’t have come at a better time; my friend’s baby was getting baptized and I wanted to find something unique and meaningful to give as a gift. I e-mailed a scanned copy of a birth announcement for my friend’s baby to Sadie Ryan. I was expecting a reply e-mail that something wasn’t right, like the pixels or resolution was off, but I received a prompt thanks for the image and as a bonus the representative commented on how precious my friend’s baby is.
I agree. He’s a real cutey patootie.
Prompt Service
Since I was doing a review for the product I didn’t specify what I wanted done or what format I wanted, but instead just sent the image and waited to see what would show up. I received an e-mail telling me when the order was received as well as when the tile was shipped. I appreciated this because I wasn’t just left to wonder when the tile would show up. When the tile arrived it was packed in a large box, wrapped tightly so as to protect the tile from the rigors of shipping.
Color!
I’m not sure why I wasn’t expecting to see color on the tile, but the tile featured the exact colors as the birth announcement. The colors of the announcement really pop against the color of the tile. It was an interesting mix; the modern look of the birth announcement combined with the classic look of the tile made for a very eye-catching piece. Sadie Ryan also sent an easel for the tile, making for a complete gift that I am proud to present to my friend.
Announcements and More
From what I gather from the Sadie Ryan website it looks like they can put just about any announcement onto a tile, so this is a good option for wedding invitations (featured to the right), graduation announcements, and more. If I could find the birth announcements for my own kids I would order tiles for those too, but I can’t remember where I put them. The birth announcements…not the kids.
