Actor, Mark Wahlberg and his fianc?e, Rhea Durham welcomed a baby boy into their family on Tuesday, September 16. He is the couple?s third child as they already have a four-year-old daughter, Ella Rae, and a son, Michael, who is two. No name was announced for the new family member who was born in Los Angeles.
Wahlberg has made it clear that he intends to protect his newborn?s privacy, telling reporters, “There will be no selling of our baby pictures, no hoopla, nothing like that.” Some celeb watchers will no doubt be disappointed by this. The couple had also made it known that they planned to marry after the birth. They have been together since 2001. In reports online he is quoted as saying, “We’re ready. I’m ready. She’s been ready, but I think you know, we both come from broken homes and we want to succeed.”
Wahlberg first came to public attention as the front man of the rap group, Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch. Eventually he made the transition to acting and has never looked back. He has appeared in a number of successful movies including Planet of the Apes and The Italian Job. He received an Academy Award nomination for his role in The Departed, directed by Martin Scorsese in 2006.
Thirty year old, Durham is a model and has graced covers of a number of top magazines including Elle and Vogue. She even appeared in one episode of the popular Spin City TV show in 2001.
