Tori Spelling plans to Create Clothing Line For Children

Tori Spelling plans to Create Clothing Line For ChildrenActress Tori Spelling is looking to join the ranks of folks like Kimora Lee by launching her own line of clothing for children. According to reports the deal has already been signed. Spelling felt motivated by her own life as a mom to enter this new arena.

Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott have two children; Liam, who is two-years old, and Stella who is ten-months old. The name of the upcoming line will be Little Maven by Tori Spelling.

The actress was quoted on People.com as saying of the new venture, “I’ve always loved fashion. It’s one of my big passions in life. When I had kids I knew I wanted to use my flair for style to make stylish yet comfortable clothing for my children. Liam and Stella inspired me to make stylish yet accessible clothing for infants, toddlers, and children.”

Spelling pays close attention to the clothing her children are most comfortable in. She plans to use that as a basis for creating her own items. She said in the interview, “The comfort (and) functionality factor really influences the styles I include in my collection. I pay close attention to what styles and materials Liam and Stella feel most comfortable in, and then I add the stylish element.”

No doubt Spelling will be hoping for the kind of success experienced by Kimora Lee’s Baby Phat. Glamour model Katie Price also has her own clothing line for children called KP Equestrian. She says it was inspired by her love of horses. Britney Spears’ ex, Kevin Federline also waded into the crowded pool with his own line which he hopes will be easier on the pockets of parents everywhere. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow launched a clothing line to benefit a charity called London’s Kid’s Company.

I can only wish Tori Spelling luck in this new venture. I hope that she will put out quality products that are affordable for most parents and not just celebrities. I think there may be more celebs going this route in the future, so stay tuned for any updates.
