Former Hogan Family Star To Be A Dad

The name Jeremy Licht may not be as recognizable as other former child stars, but he does have a hit sitcom on his resume. He starred with Valerie Harper and Jason Bateman in the hit show Valerie. Renamed The Hogan Family after the departure of Harper, the show ran until 1991.

According to reports Licht is going to have a baby with wife Kimberly Wallis Licht. The couple is going to have a girl, and her arrival is expected in February. He was quoted in an interview on People.com as saying, “I’m excited about becoming a dad. I always knew I wanted a child. It just never quite worked out until now.”
The mom to be is hoping that she can get back to work as quickly as possible after the baby is born. “Knock on wood, I’ve had an easy pregnancy, no morning sickness, no crazy cravings. The plan is to try to get the body back as fast as possible and jump back in,” she said.

Like many former child stars, Licht has not been seen on the screen in quite a while. No doubt fans of The Hogan Family remember him fondly from the show which first aired in 1986, eventually having a five year run. He studied finance at the University of Southern California, but while still a junior he left college for an internship at Merrill Lynch. He started his own financial planning company JL Capital Management in 1996.
Wallis Licht has appeared in a number of series including Charmed, the short lived Bram and Alice, and CSI: NY. While she is anxious to get back to work after the baby’s birth, her husband doesn’t seem too keen on being in front of the camera anymore. However, fans will be happy to know that he says that one day he may return to acting. Best wishes to Jeremy Licht and Kimberly Wallis Licht, and we look forward to word of their new arrival.
