Fantastic Four Star To Be A Dad

Fantastic Four Star To Be A DadWelsh actor Ioan Gruffudd has certainly not shied away from talking about his family plans. Just last year he talked about wanting to start a family with his wife Alice Evans. Well it seems like his wish has come true. Recent reports indicate that his wife is now pregnant with their first child.

The busy actor has already started work on his home in Los Angeles to get ready for the baby the reports state. A British newspaper quoted him, as saying last year, “I have my eyes on a brood of three. Ideally I would love a little daughter born in the same month as Alice, because then she would be this strong-headed, fun-loving young thing and it would be great to have two women with that kind of energy in the house.”

So basically one down, two to go. Who knows, he may decide not to stop at three. I do hope he gets his wish for a daughter. I usually hear men wishing for sons, no doubt conjuring up images of days playing football and other sports.

Gruffudd and his wife met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000. They got married in 2007. He is best known to American audiences as Reed Richards in Fantastic Four and its sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Before that however he worked in other American films such as Titanic and Black Hawk Down. Best of luck to Mr. Gruffudd and his wife with their upcoming arrival.
