<description>I used the lactation clinic and consultants at the hospital where I delivered my son and I&#039;m so glad I did! They got me a pump right away since we had to feed our son formula to ward off his jaundice and low blood sugar. The lactation consultants (there were times I felt I had a whole team of them at my disposal!) helped me through my issues related to an old breast surgery as well. I feel like it&#039;s solely because of their help and guidance that my son eventually became almost exclusively breastfed. Every hospital and birthing center should offer these types of services.
