Tori Spelling’s Battle To Loose The Baby Weight… The Real-World Way

Hold the personal trainer, crash diet and the plastic surgery: Tori Spelling says she’s losing her baby weight the way that real moms do. And she’s finding it hard work.

Tori and husband Dean McDermott welcomed baby daughter Stella in June, a little sister to 18-month-old Liam, and four months later she’s says she still needs to shift several stubborn pounds.

Tori cites other Hollywood mothers, in particular Jessica Alba, who gave birth within days of Tori, but is already as thin as she was pre-baby. Celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Victoria Beckham and Nicole Ritchie were back at size 0 within weeks of giving birth, amidst rumors of plastic surgery, c-sections combined with tummy tucks, and intense workouts with a personal trainers.

Us real-world moms can get down seeing models and actresses looking so gorgeous right after giving birth. We all know that they have nannies, dietitians, personal trainers, and make-up artists. They don’t have to get up in the middle of the night as much as we do, they don’t need to do the laundry, they have staff working on getting them fit and gorgeous and they’ve got the make-up artists to erase any potential dark circles under their eyes.

But it can still be a drag especially when we are too tired to make anything to eat healthier than frozen pizza, we got three hours sleep and making time to go to the gym is impossible when it seems like there’s not even time to brush our teeth.

I think Tori Spelling looks phenomenal, and I’m very glad she’s focusing on her family, rather than spending hours at the gym to get skinny again. I hope that she can inspire some other celebrities to do the same thing, and I hope she’ll make some other new moms feel a little better about themselves too.
