		<description>I too am glad that this topic was brought up.  We need to put away the check lists and focus on raising happy and healthy children.  They will walk, talk, and do a thousand other things on their own time, but for such a short time they will be babies.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m glad you brought up this topic because so much is put on what type of milestone your baby has achieved.  Like you said, every baby is different.  Just because a baby isn&#039;t walking at a certain time doesn&#039;t mean they are developmentally delayed overall.  

My son is 19 months and he&#039;s not speaking (coherently) 20 words, which seems to be &quot;the norm&quot; but I&#039;m not too worried about it.  He understands simple instructions so I know he&#039;s comprehending something.  

I think parents should just praise whatever type of milestone our baby can do at the moment or at least stop comparing.</description>
