Clark Color Labs has a good deal on photo books as well as other fun things to do with your photos. (The photo book is listed on the right side of the page)

does anybody know where you can make custom hard page books for babies? We live far away from our extended family and would like to make a book that our new baby can play with and look at to become familar with his family.
thanks.

Check the remainders (bargain)areas in both Barnes and Noble and Borders... Plus remember that they have a bargain section in the children's area as well as the one in front of the store. I have been reading to my little one since we got home from the hospital, despite good natured ribbing from friends. But now I have a 15 month old daughter whose favorite thing to do is read with mommy where as said friend is struggling to get her school age children to look at a book. Ash loves the illustrations in just about any book from Karen Katz. Counting Kisses is a biggie in our house. So is Mommy loves me.

Yes, I check the grocery store, Target, etc. for bargains. Books are so expensive!

I found If You Give a Mouse a Cookie for $10 (regular hardcover) at Marshalls, actually.

I found a three-book set titled "Happy Baby" (with "Words," "Colors" and "Animals" as the three books) at Target.

Thanks for sharing, Angel!

I'm stocking up on board books for my soon to arrive granddaughter. I'm concentrating on themes like animals, sounds, body parts, etc. I haven't gone to a book store, but just keep an eye on the book shelf at my local grocery--they usually have good ones at a great price. I'm staying away from more commercial board books like Barbie, etc.
