Hi,
I'm 11 weeks, and we plan on telling my parents tomorrow over dinner. I had a few ideas for this... first get a congratulations card and sign it to grandparents and include the ultrasound and the due date. My next idea was to get a frame and mount the ultrasound picture and say, more to come February 8th 2009!
My favorite one is... I'm going to pick up a pair of pink and a pair of blue baby socks and gift wrap them in a box with the ultrasound and write a note that says we have a gift for you, but we won't know which till February 8th, 2009, Congratulations on being grandparents...
There's not much help in the artistic field...
just make it personal and it's sure to be a wonderful surprise. I'm just going to be so relieved to finally tell them!!
Cheers

This list is pretty standard...I had hoped for more creative ways to announce a pregnancy. When we discovered we were pregnant two months ago, I snapped a picture of my hubby, my son and me holding the positive pregnancy test and emailed that to family. With my best friend, I was chatting with her on videophone and held up my pregnancy test really close. It took her a few seconds before she realized what she was looking at. Her reaction was priceless! As for other people, I recently announced my pregnancy by putting up a video on my blog with my son explaining that he was going to be a big brother because mama had a baby in her tummy and how he thinks it's going to be a girl (we don't plan to find out until the birth). It was fun doing that because it caught people off guard. =)
