Military kids certainly do deserve an entire month and a lot more. My niece is a military child. She is 2 and 1/2 years old and my brother (her military parent) has not been to a birth day party for her yet. He has been in Afghanistan and Iraq for them. He will be there this year but will be in Afghanistan for her 4th birthday... So we are looking forward to my brother being stateside for a sum and total of 1/4 of the birthdays that she will have by the time that she turns 4. It is heartbreaking at times for both of them... but we are all very very proud of her daddy and we make sure that she knows that. Hopefully she will grow up and be proud of her daddy and not resentful.
