		<description>Excellent tips!  I am an advocate of chronicling the "history" of your children.  This is done by taking TONS of pictures and videos regularly; saving drawings and cards and all manner of things that your kids create and anything else that represents that moment in your child's life and development.

As videographer and amateur photographer, I would also add a tip:  Be sure to take plenty of candid shots in addition to the posed portraits.  The candid shots are the true treasures because they really represent a "slice of life" - what was happening at this specific time and place in the history of your child and family.  Posed pictures are great too :) (See my blog http://werehavingababies.blogspot.com for more on this).
