Make Your New Year’s Resolution a Lifestyle Change

2008-2.jpgThe new year is a fantastic time. It is like starting out with a clear slate. Everything is new and you feel like you can do anything. You sit down and make a list of all the things that you are going to change. This new year will be different. This time you WILL do this gigantic list of resolutions.

Wait, that sure is a big list. Maybe you should cut that list down a bit. Look over the list. Now pick one…yes…one resolution. You know which one you need to choose. Now pick it and throw the list away. If you want a fighting chance of doing the new year’s resolution thing, you need to just pick one.

Now sit down and make another list. This one is just about the one resolution you picked. This list will be how you are going to make this resolution stick. This list is going to give you direction to completing this resolution, this change, this lifestyle change. That’s right. You are going to stick to this lifestyle change. And this change will change your life.

So what is your one resolution–your life changing lifestyle change? Weight loss, new job, new home, more family time, quit smoking, more exercise, starting a blog, changing your attitude towards life–you name it—now do it and change your life!
